There is nothing so inspiring in this world as the love of an animal. Dogs, in particular, have a unique ability to heal the soul and to connect with humans. Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers wants to celebrate the connection that today’s students have forged with foster animals, shelter animals, and service/therapy animals.
As such, the team’s Fort Lauderdale personal injury lawyers are proud to make the new Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship available to today’s students. Students at trade schools, colleges, universities, and graduate schools have the chance to win $2,000 to dedicate toward their continued studies.
Turn in your application by March 15, 2026, to qualify!
Application Requirements
Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers invites all students interested in applying for the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship to do so before March 15, 2026! All applicants must:
- Be enrolled in or accepted at a United States trade school, accredited college, university, and/or graduate school.
- Submit an essay between 500 and 700 words tackling the scholarship essay topic detailed below.
- Agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
Students may optionally include verification of any volunteer hours they earned while working with animals along with their application. Please upload that verification and the scholarship essay in PDF form.
The scholarship selection committee encourages students to carefully revisit these criteria and make sure they’ve included all essential resources in their application packet before submitting it for consideration. The team cannot consider applications submitted by non-qualifying students or packets without all of the required materials.
Scholarship Essay Topic
Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers believes that dogs have an incredible capacity to heal, comfort, and connect with people in need. When applying for the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship, the team encourages students to think about their volunteer experiences with animals.
Students who’ve done hands-on work with dogs in shelters, foster homes, and/or service or therapy environments should go into detail about how those experiences have shaped them. The team encourages students to reflect on how their experiences may have influenced their future goals.
Students should also discuss what impact their services had on the dogs they helped, as well as the communities around them.
Tips and Tricks For Writing a Scholarship Essay
Students’ scholarship essays should meet the following criteria to qualify students for the $2,000 award.
- Students must create a catchy and original title for their essay.
- Students should save their essays in PDF format using the following naming convention: “[Scholarship Name and Year] – [Student Name].”
- If a student uses sources to build out their essay, they should include in-line citations and a bibliography along with their essay.
Students should also create a header that includes their:
- Full name
- Student ID number
- The name of the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship
- The name of the student’s academic institution of choice
- The mailing address and email address for the institution’s financial aid office
- The phone number for the financial aid office
Finally, Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers requests that students refrain from using AI to generate their essays. Students should express their original thoughts about their experiences with animal service. The inappropriate use of AI to create a scholarship essay for the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship will see a student removed from the applicant pool.
Scholarship Deadline
Students have until March 15, 2026, to complete and submit their scholarship packets. The scholarship selection committee will not consider applications submitted after this deadline passes.
The team also requests that students do not reach out to Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers with questions about their scholarship applications. We cannot answer those questions at this point in time.
Students can expect to see an announcement about the winner of the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship up to three months after the scholarship deadline passes. A team member will reach out to the winning student. Unfortunately, we cannot connect with other applicants.
